Superwelt
Married supermarket worker Gabi Kovanda’s lower middle class life revolves around her family and her job. Until, after work one day, everything changes. Suddenly, there’s someone new in her life, someone with whom she had already been casually acquainted, someone who keeps her busy all day and with whom she quarrels : God!
Karl Markovics’s second directorial work tells a „Woman under the influence“ falling out of her bourgeois rituals and sending shock waves through her entire family.
Karl Markovics
was born in Vienna in 1963. He started his acting career at the Serapionstheater in Vienna and was working as freelance stage actor for 12 years, before he became known to a wider audience due to his role of Detective Inspector Stockinger in the TV police series KOMMISSAR REX in 1993. In 2007 he played the leading role in the oscar-winning THE COUNTERFEITERS . SUPERWELT is Karl Markovics’ second directorial work.
